Emerald and diamond vintage engagement ring. This is a wonderful, classic ring which has been crafted in platinum. The emerald is particularly fine, of excellent quality, and is an emerald cut. Flanking the emerald are tapered baguette diamonds. The emerald is a gorgeous green and beautifully compliments the bright diamonds. A slender band of platinum completes this ring. Emerald is the birthstone for May. This ring dates to the mid 20th century.
In excellent condition, nothing to note. Shown in the photos with the model in a variety of lighting conditions as the sun and shade changed. Model (that's me!) was silly and wore purple which can be seen in some of the photos as reflecting in the metal and diamonds.
Emerald: approx 5.6 mm by 4.9 mm and calculated in setting as 0.69 carats. It's of particularly fine quality with above average clarity. It's had minor enhancement, oil, which is a typical treatment for emeralds.
Diamonds: 2, tapered baguettes, approx 0.28 carats together, G / H colour, VS clarity as calculated within the limits of the mounting.
Stamped PLATINUM. Professionally tested and assessed as platinum.
Size: UK - M.5; US - 6.5; EU - 16,8. This ring can be sized between L / 5.75 / 16,25 and P / 7.75 / 17,9. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures approx 6.65 mm wide by 5.2 mm deep. Band is 1.4 mm band at back centre.
Weighs 3.05 grams.
