Vintage sapphire and old cut diamond engagement ring. A deep blue bezel set sapphire is flanked by old European cut diamonds. The gemstones are graduated in size with the edges of the diamonds topped in platinum. The diamonds are clear and sparkly, a lovely contrast to the dark blue of the sapphire. A slender gold band curves up to reach the bezel edges of the diamonds. Circa 1930s - 1940s, British in origin.

Sapphire: round cut, approx 4.5 mm, calculated in setting as 0.50 carats. Shows minor facet wear in keeping with age and wear.

Diamonds: 2, old European cut, measuring approx 3.4 mm each to total 0.25 carats, G / H colour, VS clarity as calculated within the limits of the mounting.

Stamped 18ct Pd. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat yellow gold with the bezel edge in palladium.

Size: UK - P; US - 7.75; EU - 17,9. This ring can be sized between J / 4.75 / 15,6 and R / 8.5 / 18,5. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 5.2 mm wide by 3.6 mm deep on top, 1.8 mm band.
