Stunning sapphire and diamond filigree engagement ring dating to the Art Deco era. This ring immediately caught our eye! A large brilliantly coloured blue sapphire is set between old mine cut diamonds. The three gemstones are set in a boat shape in the midst of loops and swirls of filigree. The setting has been cast and is adorned with a beaded design on top of the pierced metalwork. This would make a stunning engagement ring for the women wanting something a bit different while still staying with the traditional sapphires and diamond gemstones. Circa 1930s, North American in origin.
Sapphire: blue, round cut, approx 4.55 mm and calculated in setting as 0.42 carats.
Diamonds: 2, old mine cut, approx 0.10 carats total.
Stamped faintly, professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold.
Size: UK - O; US - 7.25; EU - 55. The delicate nature of pierced metal work limits resizing substantially. This ring can be safely sized between M / 6.25 / 52,5 and P / 7.75 / 56,5. Sizing available for an additional fee.
