Art Deco ruby & diamond engagement ring. A beautiful rectangular cut ruby with a pinkish red colour is set in a milgrain lined bezel setting. A halo of single / eight cut diamonds frames the ruby. Each of the diamonds is bead set and the edges between the diamonds form a gentle scalloped edge. Stepped down the mounting are a pair of diamonds with a single diamond below that leading to a D shape profile gold band. Circa 1920s, British in origin.
Ruby: rectangular in shape, pinkish red in colour, measuring approx 4 mm by 3.4 mm.
Diamonds: 17, estimated in setting as 0.28 carats total.
Stamped PLAT 18ct, professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.
Size: UK - O; US - 7.25; EU - 55,5. This ring can be sized between L.5 / 6 and R / 8.75. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures approx 9.65 mm wide by 8 mm wide at top and stands 3.6 mm tall off the finger.
Weighs 2.7 grams.
