Vintage ruby and diamond engagement ring dating to the Art Deco era. A wonderful and vivid synthetic (lab created) red ruby is bezel set in a platinum edge lined in milgrain beading. Framing the ruby is a halo of mined old cut diamonds. The bead set diamonds create a scalloped edge with the four corners coming to a little stylish flared point. The shoulders of this ring are platinum topped and slope down to a gold band. Circa 1920s - 1930s, British in origin.

Ruby: lab created, rectangular in shape, step cut, approx 3.7 mm by 2.7 mm.

Diamonds: 10, old mine cut, each approx 1.5 mm to total 0.15 carats, near colourless and eye clean within the limits of the mounting.

Stamped 18ct PLAT. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat yellow gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top and the shoulders topped in a fine layer of platinum.

Size: UK - N; US - 6.75; EU - 17,1. This ring can be sized between K.5 / 5.5 / 16 and S / 9.25 / 19.

Measures approx 8.4 mm by 7.3 mm on top by 4.2 mm deep, 1.6 mm wide band.

Weighs 1.8 grams.
