Exquisite Victorian MIZPAH band crafted in 18 carat yellow gold. Mizpah means the Lord watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another. The sentiment was popular during the Victorian era with rings and other items of jewellery exchanged between lovers. This meaningful ring is lovely! The wide letters stand off the ring and nearly the entire width. To the back is the most wonderful foliate engraving of fern leaves to symbolise sincerity alternating with orange blossoms symbolising chastity. This is the most ornate Mizpah ring we've seen and i's sure to charm any romantic! Circa 1890s, British in origin.

Hallmarked for 18 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham, date letter for 1892.

Size: UK - L; US - 5.75; EU - 16,2. Sizes taken from centre. This ring may have been sized smaller during it's life. Sizing slightly larger is possible, though it would leave a blank to the pattern at the back. Resizing available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 6.3 mm front centre and 5.95 mm wide back centre.

Weighs 4.6 grams.
