Vintage sterling silver pendant dating to the mid 20th century. A circular pendant has just the loveliest engraved design. In the centre is a diamond shape with foliate engraving around it's edges. A further outer circle is accents with little coordinating flourishes. This piece would have been made to be engraved with initials to the front, but may have never been used as it's not engraved. The pendant is large enough to wear alone and is also on an oversized jump ring so it can be attached to a bolder, chunky chain. Circa 1950s, British in origin.
It comes in it's original presentation box. The box is textured cardboard which is light blue in colour with gold writing. There's a cotton insert to the interior for the pendant to lay on. The box shows some fading to the top and the gold writing is illegible.
Hallmarked for sterling silver, assayed in Birmingham, date letter for 1957.
Measures approx 2.85 cm / 1.13 inches tall not including jump ring, by 2.45 cm / 0.97 inches wide.
Weighs 3.5 grams.
