Beautiful knot design chain crafted in 9 carat yellow gold. This antique chain is designed as a series of open or loose knots each connected by a single oval link. The open knot design allows the folding and intertwining of the wires around each other to be seen and is one of my favourite designs! This is a shorter length chain and it's narrow width means it's best suited to a smaller to medium sized pendant or locket. Circa late 19th to early 20th century, British in origin.

Stamped 9c on the spring bolt clasp and 9ct on a tag near the terminating bolt ring. Professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold throughout.

Measures 44 cm / 17.3 inches long by 2.75 mm wide.

Weighs 4.4 grams.
