SOLD. Sorry, this item has sold.

Antique chunky sterling silver chain necklace. This piece would have originally been used as men's pocket watch chain and is more commonly used today as a ladies necklace. Each of the sides feature large twisted curb links which are graduated in size, smallest toward the t-bar and the terminating ends and largest in the centre of each half. The twisted curb link is one of my favourites, a little bit fancy while still remaining a very classic and elegant link.

This piece is on the shorter side, a choker length for a women's neck chain, or it could easily be used for a doubled bracelet or as it was originally intended, a pocket watch chain! Circa 1900s, Edwardian era, British in origin.

Hallmarked on the dog clips, date letter for 1906. Each curb link also stamped with the lion passant for sterling.

Measures approx 40 cm / 15.75 inches wearable length with the centre curb links and t-bar dropping 4 cm / 1.55 inches . Curb links are approx 7 mm to 9.9 mm wide.

Weighs 55.4 grams. This is a substantial piece with a nice weight.
