Antique sterling silver curb link double Albert chain. This chain has a lovely tactile feel, with slight graduation which flows around the neck. At one end is a non-swivelling dog clip and at the other is a swivelling dog clip. The dog clips are otherwise matching with maker's marks and hallmarks so we're not sure how that happened! At the centre is a t-bar with matching marks and a trailing section of curb link with two drilled coins hanging from it. Double Alberts were originally worn as men's watch chains however they are commonly worn by women as necklaces, the perfect modern update for antique pieces! The length means it skims the collar bones and can also be worn doubled as a bracelet. Circa 1910s, British in origin.

In very good condition other than one coin which is heavily worn. The marks are deep and clear on the chain, absolutely wonderful!

Hallmarked for sterling silver, 1910, on the t-bar and both dog clips. Stamped on each curb link. One coin with 1918 on it.

Measures approx 39 cm / 15.25 inches in length by 5.8 mm at widest point tapering to 4.25 mm at the ends.

Weighs 33.8 grams.
