Antique sterling anchor link chain necklace. A much loved classic! Shiny anchor or mariner style links are connected together by tactile oval links. Each link is mark with the British lion for sterling silver. The ends terminate at matching dog clips. This chain could be worn as a choker, with clasps to the front to show off a pendant or locket, or doubled and worn as a bracelet. Circa early 20th century, British in origin.

In very good condition with minor age related wear. Listing photos show the chain alone (first two photos on model's neck) and with the extender (third and forth photo on model's neck).

Stamped with a lion, the British mark for sterling silver, on each link. Dog clips are stamped with the date letter for 1923. Professionally tested and assessed as sterling silver throughout.

Measures approx 36.5 cm / 14.33 inches in length. This is a shorter length for a necklace. We've also listed a chain extender with coordinating, but not quite matching, links. The two pieces are shown together in the last photo of the pieces on the hand. The left side is this necklace and the right side is the extender. This could also be worn as a choker or doubled to make it a bracelet.
The anchor links are approx 9.15 mm long by 7.05 mm wide. Dog clips are 20.7 mm long by 7.3 mm wide.

Weighs 32.4 grams.
