Antique mariner link sterling silver extender. Anchor or mariner links are connected by large oval shaped links. Anchor links are such a classic, much coveted, design. One of the ends terminates at a dog clip and the other as a coordinating oval link. Circa early 20th century, British in origin.
This piece started it's life as a longer watch chain which we've divided into a bracelet and an extender. This extender would make an excellent addition to an anchor link necklace which we have for sale. We haven't put them together as the anchor links are a slightly different size. The first photo on the hand shows this extender on the right and the chain that we have for sale on the left.
In very good condition.
We cannot find a mark or stamp. Professionally tested and assessed as sterling silver throughout.
Measures approx 7.5 cm / 3 inches long.
Anchor links are approx 10.65 mm by 8.1 mm. Dog clip measures approx 21 mm long by 6.85 mm wide.
Weighs 8.3 grams.
