Antique seal crafted in 15 carat gold. The rock crystal base of this intaglio is engraved with a classic message, "Tho' lost to sight to memory dear". The rock crystal is clear, a beautiful elongated rectangular cushion shape with faceted edge which just add that bit extra. The top features a classic Georgian urn shape atop a ridged pedestal. The engraving is crisp and clear. Circa mid 19th century, very late Georgian to early Victorian era.

In good condition. There is a wide shallow dent to the ridged top. The way the seal is made makes it difficult to notice unless that section is in profile, best shown in one of the videos.

Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as 15 carat gold.

Measures approx 26.4 mm / 1.05 inches tall with the base measuring 17.7 mm / 0.70 inches by 14.8 mm / 0.60 inches.

Weighs 10.1 grams.
