Antique seal crafted in 15 carat gold. What a beauty! An elongated cushion shaped chalcedony is carved with a dog laying down. Around this scene is engraved "FIDELLE EN ABSENCE", . A heavily engraved top features scalloped shapes and is finished with an urn design handle. Circa early to mid 19th century.

In excellent condition with only the most minor signs of wear under magnification.

Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as 15 carat gold.

Measures approx 23.8 mm / 0.95 inches tall with the base measuring 15.7 mm / 0.60 inches by 12.6 mm / 0.50 inches.

Weighs 6.5 grams.
