Vintage sapphire single stone engagement ring. The oval cut blue sapphire is bezel set in a fine mounting on a slender band. This ring is low profile, sitting low to the finger. The band tapers, narrowing closer to the sapphire and widening to a D shape profile at the back. The sapphire is a lighter, cornflower blue in colour which looks great in the gold of the mounting. Circa mid 20th century.
Sapphire: oval cut, cornflower blue in colour, approx 5.3 mm by 3.7 mm, calculated as 0.56 carats within the limits of the mounting.
Stamped 14K, professionally tested and assessed as 14 carat yellow gold.
Size: UK - N; US - 6.75; EU - 17,1. Sizing smaller or larger is possible. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures approx 6 mm wide at sapphire by 3.7 mm deep. 1.1 mm band at sapphire widening to 2.1 mm at back centre.
