Wonderful vintage yellow gold sputnik style pendant set with multi-coloured paste and synthetic gemstones. The cabochon cut stones are in colours of opaque blue and white (paste), and transparent green, red and yellow (lab created). The stones are vivid and colourful, contrasting beautifully against the yellow gold body of this pendant. The sphere is a good size with the stones set all the way around. Circa third quarter of the 20th century, Portuguese in origin.

In very good condition with minor wear to the stones in keeping with age and use.

Marked 800 on top, the marking is small but I think it's the right shape for the Lisbon assay office. This is a Portuguese assay mark for 19.2 carat gold (800 parts of 1000).

Measures approx 20.85 mm / 0.82 inches tall not including the bail, by 18.2 mm / 0.72 inches wide.

Weighs 4.6 grams.
