Vintage large 9ct gold safety pin. This simple gold safety pin is made heavy 1.5 mm gauge wire and shaped into a sprung pin. It's a very large pin measuring just under 3 inches long and would be useful for a shawl or scarf pin or connecting jewellery such as chains. Hallmarked for 9 carat gold.

Fully hallmarked for 9 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham - this safety pin looks to be an older one in style, possibly re-hallmarked because that's sometimes required by law. The gold is a pale rose colour, closer to rose than yellow gold but somewhere between the two.

Measures approx 75 mm / 2.95 inches long by 8.4 mm / 0.33 inches tall.

Weigh approx 3.6 grams each.
