Lovely vintage 9 carat yellow gold heart shaped clasp charm. The front of this heart is hand engraved in a symmetrical scrolling style design. The sides and back are shiny and unadorned, with a complete hallmark on the back side. This gold heart can be worn a variety of ways. It probably originally was a clasp for a bracelet; that was a popular look in the mid 20th century. We like it worn as a pendant or charm best but the choice certainly is yours! Circa 1960s with date letter for 1965.
In excellent condition. The clasp is firm and tight. A top loop clicks firmly into place, allowing this heart to be secured to an item. On the top of the heart is a smaller loop which can also be used, such as for attaching a safety chain if this is used as a bracelet clasp. This versatile piece which can be worn as a charm, clasp or pendant.
