Vintage diamond engagement ring set in two tone square setting. The centre round brilliant cut diamond is set with wider ribbon prongs into a square shaped setting. This design gives the impression that the centre diamond is a square cut stone. Adorning the shoulders and set into the platinum top are six eight cut diamonds, three on each side. Gold peaks out from the top and bottom edges of the tapered shoulders. On the ends of the line of the diamonds is an engraved design and the shank of this ring is a narrow 18 carat yellow gold D shape. Circa 1935 to late 1940s, believed European in origin.
Diamonds: centre round brilliant is approx 4.7 mm and is calculated in setting as 0.46 carats, K colour, VS2 clarity. 6 single cut diamonds total approx 0.10 carats. Total carat calculated as setting permits is 0.56.
Markings of ct, rest possibly lost due to sizing, tested as 18 carat gold.
Size: UK - M 3/4; US - 6 5/8; EU - 17. This ring can be sized between K.5 / 5.25 and P.5 / 8. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures 6.05 mm wide and stands approx 6.15 mm tall off the finger.
