Beautiful blue carved lapis lazuli bracelet. Five oval shaped panels of royal blue lapis are carved with a floral design. Each of the lapis are flecked with gold which brings an added dimension to the carved stones. Large geometric designs create bold links between each of the lapis and to the centre of these links are arches with an engraved foliate style design. This piece dates to the 1930s, British in origin.
This is in good condition. There is a repair to one of the lapis which is visible under close inspection. The clasp closes tightly and there is a safety loop on one side which is very tight. There are loops to attach a safety chain as well, and we'd be happy to attach a silver one free of charge if requested though have chosen not at the moment because Erin doesn't like them and there are already two catches - the main and safety loop. An attached safety chain can never be as tight as the bracelet, it hangs down and Erin finds it catches on things which can pose problems well, though it's a personal preference.
Stamped 9ct on the clasp, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat white gold throughout.
Measures approx 18 cm / 7.1 inches in wearable length, by 13 mm at widest point.
Weighs 13.85 grams.
