Vintage blue zircon stud earrings. Super classic and perfect for summer! Large bright blue oval shape zircons are set in 14 carat gold crown (rex) style collets. The stones are slightly oval in shape making them just a bit different. Each of the gemstones is set in eight small gold claws. Oversized 9 carat scroll backs help to keep these earrings balanced and upright on the ear. Circa early to mid 20th century.

In very good condition with minor abrasion to the facet edges in keeping with age and wear. We often see small backs on earrings, gold is expensive, it's nice to see these with good sized scroll backs.

Blue zircons: oval in shape, approx 7.1 mm by 6.4 mm. These face up at about 2 carats each. Because they are closed back we are not able to take an exact depth to calculate a weight.

Not hallmarked, professionally tested and assessed as 14 carat gold setting. The scroll backs test as 9 carat gold and are more rose in colour.

Measure approx 8.1 mm by 7.4 mm.

Weigh 2.6 together, approx 1.3 grams each.
