Art Deco sterling silver trombone link Albert chain. Oblong links are a much coveted style and it's easy to see why - so very elegant and tactile. Oblong links, made of 1.2 mm rounded sterling wire, alternate with a series of the three smaller rounded links. This is a more slender design than we normally find. And while I like chunky, I'm thrilled with this. The lighter, leaner style is, in my opinion, a bit more versatile, a bit more dressy, a bit just different. Both ends of this chain terminate in non-swivelling dog clips. A t-bar is free floating, allowed to slide along the chain without coming off. Circa 1930s, British in origin.

In very good condition. The date letters on the t-bar, two dog clips, and centre link all match each other - a great find!

Hallmarked for sterling silver, assayed in Chester, date letter for 1935 with full marks on a link near the centre and other lion marks and date letters on the dog clips and t-bar. Professionally tested and assessed as sterling silver throughout.

Measures 42 cm / 16.5 inches in wearable length, oblong links are approx 26.5 mm long by 7 mm wide.
