Vintage synthetic ruby solitaire set in 14 carat yellow gold. A large, 2.25 carat lab created ruby is set in a gorgeous high setting which really shows off the stone. The ruby is bright, a glowy pinkish red, and is secured in six claws. From the side the claws and collet form a pierced filigree pattern. The band near the gemstone is engraved with a single flower blossom closest to the stone with leaf engraving down the band, which quickly fades to a plain shank. Circa Art Deco era, 1920s - 1940s.

Ruby: synthetic or lab created, approx 7 mm by 7.5 mm and calculated as 2.25 carats with the limits of the mounting. The facets show age related wear.

Stamped 14k, professionally tested and assessed as 14 carat yellow gold throughout.
