Vintage sapphire and diamond ring dating to the Art Deco era. What a glorious engagement ring! This lovely ring houses a square shaped blue sapphire which is bezel set and framed by eight leaves. In every other leaf is a small single cut diamond, and the alternating ones are carved with faceted beads to give additional sparkle and decoration. The edges around the gemstones are lined with milgrain beading. The gemstones are set in white while the slender band is yellow, two tone was very much at the height of fashion! Circa 1930s - 1940s, British in origin.

Sapphire: square shape, step cut measuring approx 2.9 mm.

Diamonds: 4, single cut, approx 0.03 carats together.

Stamped, only partially legible as "PLAT". Professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat yellow gold, the top edge of the gemstone setting tested as platinum.

Size: UK - Q.5; US - 8.5; EU - 18,5. This ring can be sized between J.5 / 5.25 / 15,8 and S / 9.25 / 19,1. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 9 mm wide by 3.4 mm deep at the sapphire, 1.75 mm band.
