What an incredible ring! Crafted in bright 22 carat gold, the exterior is hand engraved with a scrolling foliate style design. This is continuous, forming a never-ending gorgeous pattern. Both sides are hand engraved in a repeating wreath or wheat design. The patterns are deep, clear and crisp - such a wonderful and rare find for an over 75 year old ring! Circa 1950, British in origin.
In excellent condition, looks to have hardly been worn.
Hallmarked for 22 carat gold, assayed in London, date letter for 1950. There is a maker's mark of W.W.Ld for W Wilkinson Ltd, a London based jeweller in business from at least the 1910s to t he 1970s. There is a personal inscription reading "Edward" to the interior.
Size: UK - L; US - 5.75; EU - 16,3. We'd recommend resizing this ring.
Measures approx 2.6 mm wide by 1.85 mm deep.
Weighs 4.4 grams.
