Traditional wedding band crafted in 9 carat yellow gold with a platinum lining. This ring is D in profile with a high domed outside and a flat interior. The inside is lined in platinum. Some people have an reaction to the alloys in gold and a common and easy solution, popular in the past, has been to line the ring with a layer of platinum to the interior. The platinum cannot be seen from the outside. This ring is hallmarked on the yellow gold outside. The hallmarks are partial worn from wear next to another ring. Circa 1940s, British in origin.

Hallmarked for 9 carat gold, partially rubbed, date letter X for 1947. The inside is marked PLAT for platinum and tested as such.

Measures 2.5 mm wide and rises approx 1.8 mm tall off the finger.
