Vintage diamond engagement ring dating to the late Art Deco era to mid 20th century. This ring is set with an older cut diamond to the centre. The diamond, a transitional cut to early round brilliant cut, is set in curved tab claws in a square shaped mounting. This gives the impression of the diamond being square in shape, which is in keeping the stronger, bolder look coming into fashion during the 1940s. Three single cut diamonds are bead set into white gold in the shoulders. Engraved into the golden shank is a ridged design. Circa 1940s, North American in origin.
Engraved personal inscription on the interior, "F.E. to M.R.L. 10-27-40" This ring was previously resized before it was engraved and the solder lines are starting to become present. If resized again, we'd try to preserve the inscription (if requested) by sizing off to the side.
