Vintage 1940s diamond single stone engagement ring. The early round brilliant cut diamond is held in fluted triple claw prongs. The diamond is shiny and sparkly with a classic mid 20th century faceting - a lower crown and larger table than earlier cut diamonds. I adore the claws on this ring. They are simply stunning with beads which come to a point at each corner. The ridges in the claws are engraved all the way down to the shank, a lovely little design. Circa 1940s, North American in origin.

Diamond: round brilliant, measures approx 4 mm and calculated in setting as 0.23 carats, H / I colour, SI1 clarity as calculated within the limits of the mounting.

Stamped 14K, professionally tested and assessed as 14 carat white gold.
