Vintage diamond ladies wedding ring. This two-tone white and yellow gold band is set with six bright white diamonds. This is a mid 20th century ring, a time when two-tone rings were most popular. The white around the diamonds really sets then off while the gold band is classic. The diamonds are set in u shaped style prongs on a slender gold band. The claws housing the diamonds are white gold while the D shape profile band is yellow. This ring is widest at the top, narrowing in the back. This ring would have been part of a set which attached to each other and remnants of that latch can be seen from the side view of this ring. Circa late 1940s - 1950s, North American in orign.
Diamonds: 6, single cut, approx 0.15 carats total as calculated within the limits of the mounting. The diamonds are white and clear to the unaided eye.
Stamped 14k, professionally tested and assessed as 14 carat yellow gold with the diamonds set into white gold claws.
