Turquoise and cultured pearl graduated fringe necklace dating to the Victorian era. This necklace is just the sweetest thing! It's incredibly easy to layer and it packs quite a punch for it's small size. The belcher link chain is lightly faceted and secures with a spring bolt clasp. To the centre are five bezel set turquoise which are graduated in size. Small matching cultured pearl beads dangle from each of the turquoise. Both where the turquoise is attached to the chain and where the pearls are attached to the turquoise is articulated. At it's current length the gemstones are meant to sit between the collar bones, at the base of the neck. Circa late Victorian - 1880s - 1900.

Turquoise are approx 3.6 mm by 3.35 mm graduating to 4.7 mm by 4 mm. Cultured pearls are approx 2 mm and are irregularly shaped.

Stamped 375 on the replacement clasp. Tested and assessed as 9 carat gold throughout.

Measures 39.5 cm / 15.5 inches in wearable length. This is a short chain which would best suit a small neck. Because the links are more open and extension piece could easily be added if a longer length was required.

Weighs 3.2 grams.
