Antique two stone diamond ring in the toi et moi style. This ring is crafted in a twist or bypass design. The two large diamonds are old mine cut with large open culets, a chunky style facet pattern and gorgeous high crowns. They are a beautiful match, cushion cut, and slightly pillowy in shape. They're set at an angle to each other. The gold shank curves around the diamonds hugging them. This is a lovely late Victorian piece, dating to the late 19th century. The toi et moi, or you and me, style was made popular during the late Victorian era and is meant to represent both individuals who make the couple. Circa 1880s, British in origin.

Diamonds: 2, old mine cut. Both are approx 4.45 - 4.65 mm and calculated in setting as 0.37 carats and 0.36 carats. J / K colour, SI1 / SI2 clarity. Total carat weight, calculated as setting permits: 0.73 carats.

Stamped 18ct PT. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat yellow gold with platinum claws.
