Large antique Victorian locket crafted in sterling silver. This oversized locket is oval in shape. Down the edges is a sweet engraved foliate design. A raised rope pattern trails down the foliate design. The centre features a textured background and raised above that is a highly domed column engraved with flowers which ends at an arrow. Polished, squared edges slope down the widest point of the locket.

The back section of this locket is shiny and polished. In the centre is an intricately engraved monogram of SB or BS with leaves weaving their way around the initials. Circa 1880s - 1890s, British in origin.

In very good condition. This locket has two frames to the interior, no coverings. Closes with a nice click.

Not hallmarked, professionally tested and assessed as sterling silver.

Measures approx 55.4mm / 2.2 inches tall not including the bail by 39.5 mm / 1.55 inches wide by 12.5 mm deep.

Locket weighs 23.4 grams.
