Antique chunky sterling silver curb link chain. The sections are chunky chain are of equal lengths, each terminating at a dog clip. In the centre is a t-bar and a fancy sterling fob. The fob is circular in shape with little flourishes around the edges. In the centre is a black cartouche which was traditionally engraved with initials, however this one has not been engraved.

This watch chain dates to the late 19th century. Originally this would have been worn by a man with a pocket watch. Today they are popular with women as choker length chains, paired together to make a longer chain, or with both men and women doubled to form a bracelet.

Hallmarked on the t-bar for sterling silver, date letter for 1891. Each curb link also stamped with the lion passant. The fob is hallmarked for sterling silver Birmingham, 1928.

Measures approx 38 cm / 15 inches wearable length, dog clip to dog clip. Curb links are 5 mm wide.
