Opal five stone band dating to the late Victorian era. Oval shape, cabochon cut opal are graduated in size. Each of the five gemstones is set in four claws in a fluted design mount which flashes its bright gold on either side of the opals. This ring is widest at the top and tapers down to a D shape half hoop shank. The opals are a pretty pastel with some brighter play of colour. Circa late 19th century.

Opal: 5, white in body colour with subtle flashes of greens, purples and oranges. Centre: 5.95 mm by 4.25 mm. 2 at 5.35 mm by 3.9 mm. 2 at 4.55 mm by 3.5 mm. All sizes approx and taken while gemstones are mounted.

Stamped 18ct. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat yellow gold. This ring has previously been reshanked or resized and shows some pitting on the band.

Size: UK - M; US - 6.25; EU - 16,7. This ring is not suitable for sizing smaller. It can be sized up to O / 7.25 / 17,5. Resizing available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 7.7 mm wide by 3.8 mm deep. 2.3 mm band.
