Victorian torpedo shaped 15ct drop earrings. These long drop earrings are tapered in shape with an applied wire work in a filigree design. Kidney shaped ear wires are attached to a half sphere adorned with cannetille work. Swinging from this is a long torpedo shaped drop decorated to the front and accented with vivid royal blue enamel. A small ball at the base of the drop completes the look. As is typical, these are puffed in shape meaning that they are hallow in the centre. Circa 1870s - 1880s, European in origin.
Condition: very good, all cannetille work is intact, the enamel is present, only minor wear consummate with age.
Stamped 15c, tested and assessed as 15 carat gold. There are a couple other marks on the ear wires we've been unable to identify.
Measure approx 5.15 cm / 2 inches long and 9.3 mm wide at widest point.
Weigh 4.6 grams total.
