Victorian ruby and diamond chequerboard ring dating to the late Victorian era. A double row of red rubies and old mine cut diamonds alternate to create a striking design. The band, fully hallmarked for 18 carat gold, is fluted with a small engraved design near the gemstones. This ring is a classic, Victorian design which is elegant on the finger. Circa 1880s, British in origin.

Diamonds: 5, old mine cut, total approx 0.35 carats, near colourless, SI1 to I1 clarity as calculated within the limits of the mounting.

Rubies: 5, round and cushion cut, approx 0.40 carats, deep rich red in colour.

Fully hallmarked for 18 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham, date letter for 1889.

Size: UK - N.5; US - 7; EU - 17,25. This ring can be sized between K.5 / 5.5 / 16,1 and R / 8.75 / 18,75. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 6.5 mm by 14.6 mm on top by 3.4 mm deep. 2.6 mm band.
