Chunky antique curb chain dating to the Victorian era. This chain would have originally been made for and worn with a gentleman's pocket watch. We think it's a wonderful additional to an jewellery lover's wardrobe - a chunky chain is always in fashion! - and it looks wonderfully as a double strand bracelet. The curb links are graduated in size. One sides terminates with an oversized spring bolt clasp and the other with a dog clip. Circa mid to late 19th century.

I love this chain for it's wave look. Each individual curb link has a swell appearance and the matching sides graduate, creating a very gentle wave up and down. Circa late 19th century, turn of the 20th century.

Stamped 800 for silver content. Stamped in three places: the dog clip, the spring bolt clasp, and the terminating link of the chain. Professionally tested and assessed as silver.

Measures approx 34.5 cm / 13.5 inches wearable length. Curb links are between 5.6 mm and 7 mm wide.

Weighs 33.2 grams.
