SOLD. Sorry, this item has sold.
Antique chunky Victorian sterling silver chain necklace. This piece was probably originally used as a watch chain. It's crafted from two shapes of curb links, longer and shorter ones. Each of the curb links are twisted and connected together. A dog clip and t-bar are at opposite ends of this chain. There is a circular link closer to one end to allow it to still be worn as a watch chain if necessary. Circa 1890s, British in origin.
Fully hallmarked for sterling silver, assayed in Birmingham, date letter for 1897.
Measures approx 40.5 cm / 16 inches wearable length. Links are 8.6 mm wide.
Weighs 36 grams.
