Victorian aesthetic movement etched silver book chain. This chain is crafted in a wonderfully unique design! Large links are engraved with a single flower blossom and a leaf, which are topped in rose and green gold. Between each of these panels is an oval shaped link etched with a scrolling design. This chain is very different, heavy and with a lovely pattern. The large spring bolt clasp can be worn to the front so that a large pendant or locket can be displayed or to the back so that this could be worn more simply. Circa late 19th century, 1880s - 1900, British in origin.

Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as sterling silver with 9 carat gold adornments on the links.

Measures 38 cm / 15 inches end to end by 17 mm wide.
