Antique 9ct gold trombone link chain necklace. Wow! How perfect is this? A longer length, much coveted 9 carat gold trombone link chain. This chain is no faff, simply oblong links connected together forming a never ending paperclip chain. A t-bar is allowed to run freely, but cannot be removed because of the oversized rings connecting the dog clips to the chain. Hallmarked in Chester in the 1880s making this piece 140 years old!

In very good condition with some slight thinning between the links, normal for age and use with tons of life left in it!

Each link has a 9 . 375 mark on it for 9 carat gold. The dog clips and t-bar all have matching maker's marks. One of the middle links has complete hallmarks dating this piece to 1886, hallmarked in Chester.

Measures approx 47 cm / 18.5 inches in length. Each trombone link is approx 22.3 mm / 0.88 inches long by 5.45 mm / 0.22 inches wide and made of 1.60 mm wire.

Weighs 31.8 grams.
