Victorian gold curb chain set with turquoise and seed pearl bead stations. Great heavy late Victorian chain necklace which has three cube shaped beads. Each of the cube beads is connected to the curb chain by a spherical shaped bead. The cubes are set two blueish green turquoise and two ivory coloured seed pearls, alternating around each side of the cube. One of the cubes sits in the middle and the other two hit at about the collar bone when worn. A lovely piece in good condition.
Turquoise: 6 total, 2 on each cube, blueish green in colour, measure approx 2.8 mm each.
Seed pearls: 6 total, 2 on each bead, ivory white in colour, measure approx 2.5 mm each.
Marked 375 for 9 carat gold on the replacement clasp. Chain tests as 9 carat gold throughout.
Measures 53.25 cm / 21 inches end to end. Curb links are approx 2.4 mm wide and square beads are approx 4 mm wide.
Weighs 9.85 grams.
