Vintage fringe necklace crafted in three colours of 9 carat gold. This is an incredible necklace! I'm a massive fan of fringe necklaces, they make such a great statement. This particular one is rather unusual because of it's use of multiple colours of gold. The top of the chain is yellow gold and the undulating fringe is alternating bars of yellow, white and rose gold.
At the back of the neck, the last 4.5 cm on each side, are yellow gold. This section would be at the back of the neck. The chain closes with a fold over style clasp with the loop of one side hooking into the other side and then a large tab folding over that. There is also a safety chain with a small spring bolt. This style of necklace wasn't usually made a safety chain so this might be a later addition.

Hallmarked for 9 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham 1983. This necklace is primarily yellow gold with the fringe alternating in colour: yellow gold, white gold and rose gold.
Measures approx 40.5 cm / 16 inches in length. The longest part of the fringe is 9.6 mm and the shortest is 4.7 mm long.
Weighs 20 grams. This necklace has a nice weight to it without being too heavy.
