Antique turquoise negligee style necklace dating to the Art Nouveau era. The 9ct rose gold trace chain features three cabochon cut turquoise. From the largest centre stone are two drops. These drops each feature two further turquoise cabochons. All of the turquoise are bezel set in a lovely rose gold which perfectly compliments the green-blue of the gemstones. The smallest stones are set in closed back mountings and the largest ones in open back mountings which display the matrix. Circa 1900-1910s.
Turquoise: 7 total and range from approx 2.8 mm to 8 mm by 6 mm.
Not hallmarked, professionally tested and assessed 9 carat gold. The gold is rosy in colour. There is a maker's mark of A.W. on the clasp.
Measures approx 43 cm / 17 inches in wearable length. Drops are approx 4.7 cm and 3.2 cm.
Weighs 2.9 grams.
