Vintage three stone diamond engagement ring crafted in platinum. There glittering transitional cut diamonds are perfectly graduated in size. The centre measures right at 5 mm with the sides graduating down to 3.3 mm. The diamonds are set in multiple sets of double claw prongs. These diamonds are transitional cut, a style between old European and modern round brilliant, with small open culets and a chunky facet pattern of older cut stones with larger tables and lower crowns as the diamond cutting changes styles.
From the sides the collet is simply but beautifully decorated with an elegant pear drop shape between each set of claws. The platinum setting is classic, tapering to a point where it meets the diamonds and widening slightly at the back of the band. Circa 1930s - 1940s.

Diamonds: 3 transitional cut, 0.75 carats together. Centre is approx 4.95 mm to 5.05 mm and calculated as 0.45 carats, I colour, SI2 clarity. Sides are approx 3.3 mm each to total 0.30 carats together, H / I colour, VS2 / SI1 clarity. Calculated within the limits of the mounting.
Stamped PLATINUM, professionally tested and assessed as such.
Size: UK - O; US - 7.25; EU - 17,5. This ring can be sized between J.5 / 5 / 15,7 and S / 9.25 / 19,2. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures approx 5.55 mm by 12.3 mm on top, 4.85 mm deep at centre diamond, 2.05 mm band at back centre.
Weighs 3.6 grams.
