Wonderful antique fancy link double Albert chain necklace. This piece would have originally been used as a men's pocket watch chain, however it's more commonly used by women as a necklace now. We love this change of uses, a lovely chunky chain simply cannot be beat! A look that pairs well with a variety of outfits and is super easy to wear. This fancy link chain is made up a single oblong twisted link with a series of smaller curb links between these. Each ends terminates at a large dog clip clasp and the t-bar is able to remove freely along the length of the chain. This timeless piece can be worn a variety of ways. Circa early 20th century, 1910s, British in origin.
In very good condition. The dog clips and t-bar all have matching hallmarks. One of the dog clips swivels and the other does not - this is not a fault, simply the way it was made. In the photos with 3 chains together, this is the centre chain.
Hallmarked on the dog clips and t-bar. All hallmarked for 1912 and each curb link also stamped with the lion passant for sterling.
Measures approx 42.5 cm / 16.25 inches wearable length. Links are approx 4.7 mm wide.
Weighs 22 grams.
