Spider pendant crafted in 9 carat gold and set with paste. This antique bug started its life as a brooch and we've converted it to a more wearable pendant. It's rather large in size and would be a wonderful companion. The thorax is a sizeable deep red garnet coloured paste and the head a lighter blue aquamarine coloured paste. These stones are bezel set and lined in milgrain beading. Circa 1900 spider, modern conversion.
Red paste: approx 8.4 mm by 6.2 mm.
Blue paste: approx 2.5 mm
Not hallmarked, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold. As is true for antique gold, it's slightly rosy in colour, closer to that of rose gold than yellow gold.
Measures approx 1.99 cm / 0.78 inches long by 1.96 cm / 0.77 inches wide.
Weighs 1.44 grams.
