Vintage sapphire and diamond ring in a wonderful crown shape. Three step cut sapphire are set together in a row. From this are two ribbons of pavé set diamonds, curving up and out. Between these is a further sapphire, set on it's point. The gemstones are set into a platinum top on a slender pipe cut gold band. This ring has been made from a converted vintage piece with the top, gemstone set piece soldered to the gold band. This would make an excellent and eye catching cocktail ring. Circa mid 20th century, 1940s - 1950s, date of conversion unknown.

Sapphires: 4, square in shape, step cut, of approx 4 mm by 4 mm, one of these is chipped in the upper right corner. These are approx 0.35 - 0.40 carat each to total 1.9 carats together.

Diamonds: 8, round brilliant cut of approx 2.2 mm each to total 0.32 carats together, I / J colour, SI1 clarity as calculated within the limits of the mounting.

Marked 14k, professionally tested and assessed as 14 karat yellow gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.

Size: UK - Q; US - 8 loose; EU - 18,2. This ring can be sized between N / 6.75 / 17,1 and T / 9.5 / 19,3. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 16 mm by 15.5 mm on top, rises 6.3 mm deep off the finger, 1.6 mm wide band.
