Beautiful sapphire and diamond three stone engagement ring. This Art Deco era ring is set with a wonderfully coloured medium blue sapphire flanked by diamonds. Each gemstone is bezel or rub over set in a platinum top. The D shape band is thick in back, narrowing as it reached the gemstones. The trilogy style engagement ring is a popular one. The low bezel setting makes it easy to wear and sapphires and diamonds have long been a classic look! Circa 1920s - 1930s, British in origin.

Sapphire: medium blue in colour, round cut, approx 0.26 carats, calculated as setting permits.

Diamonds: 2, round brilliant, approx 3.1 mm each, estimated in setting as 0.18 carats total weight.

Hallmarked as 18ct & Plat. This ring is mostly 18 carat yellow gold with the very tops of the rub over edges in platinum.
