A beautiful blue sapphire and diamond vintage engagement ring. A medium blue round shaped sapphire is prong set in the centre of six diamonds. The detail on the face of this ring is stunning! Around the sapphire is an engraved star design, outlined in a double row of milgrain beading. The diamonds are set in petal shapes between each of the points of the star design. This ring is topped in platinum and the gemstones glitter from the top! Circa 1920s, British in origin, this ring is marked for the maker, HS which is likely H. Samuel. (Yep, they've been around for ages!!)

Sapphire: deep and bright blue, round cut, approx 2.6 mm wide and estimated in setting as 0.10 carats.

Diamonds: 6, single / eight cut, approx 0.12 carats total weight.

Hallmarked as 18ct Plat. This ring is 18 carat yellow gold with the gemstones set in platinum and the shoulders topped in platinum.
