Vintage sapphire and diamond engagement ring dating to the Art Deco era. This cluster ring is designed as a flower with a blue sapphire to the centre framed by a halo of diamonds. The round cut sapphire is set low to the finger with 10 single cut diamonds set into a star design lined in milgrain beading. This scalloped edge halo dips between each of the diamonds. The sapphire is a gorgeous royal blue in colour. Sloped shoulders are topped in platinum and pinch in at the top near the gemstone set top. The D shape profile shank is yellow gold. Circa 1920s - 1930s, British in origin.

Sapphire: measures approx 4.3 mm.

Diamonds: 10, single cut, approx 1.25 mm each to total 0.10 carats together, near colour, eye clean as estimated within the limits of the mounting.

Old stamp of 18ct. Additional modern hallmark for 18 carat gold, assayed in Sheffield, 2013. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat yellow gold with the top in platinum.
